For more than two decades, Wizz Air has expanded access to air travel across Europe. With over 500 million passengers carried, we have helped make flying more affordable and connected millions of people with the opportunities that travel creates.
In 2026, our ambition remains unchanged: to be Europe’s most loved ultra-low-cost airline. Through value, innovation and operational excellence, we continue to broaden access to travel while strengthening connectivity across our network.
Making travel accessible to more people remains at the heart of the WIZZ brand.

Wizz Air was founded on a simple idea: air travel should be accessible to everyone. By offering affordable flights, we open doors to new opportunities and bring people closer together.
Aviation connects communities and drives economic growth, but it also comes with environmental challenges. At Wizz Air, we believe the answer lies in innovation and technology. We are committed to reducing our impact and carbon intensity while keeping travel affordable and inclusive.
We acknowledge that aviation has a significant environmental impact. Our current focus is on improving operational efficiency and modernising our fleet to reduce emissions intensity where possible, based on measurable operational performance rather than future projections.
* Carbon intensity is a key environmental performance metric used by airlines to measure the efficiency of their operations in terms of greenhouse gas emissions. It is defined as: CO₂ emissions per Revenue Passenger Kilometre (CO₂/RPK). This means the grams of CO₂ emitted for every kilometre flown by a paying passenger.
